Books & Websites
These books and websites have influenced the way I practice.
-
SD protocol - by Dr Wayne Todd
This book was the start of my journey in uncovering the nervous system. Lots of my clients have heard me talk about Sympathetic Dominance ( fight and flight) and this book explains it in such simple terms. What I love about this book is it paints a whole picture of health and gets down to the root cause of your health concerns. I remember reading this book when I was at Uni and till today it is the same book I get clients to refer to when understanding the autonomic nervous system.
-
The 4 Pillar Plan – by Dr Rangan Chatterjee
This is one of my favourite health books! If you are unsure where to start with on your health journey, I would highly suggest this one. It focuses on taking charge of our own health whilst consciously making small changes so they become new habits that can be set into our routine.
-
Plant Proof – By Simon Hill
Dives into not only a plant based diet benefiting our immune system and lifestyle but respecting the food system. One thing I love about this book is that it opens up conversation for making more informed, mindful and conscious choices. This does not mean we have to eat perfectly but small shifts can allow us to maximise our health longevity and prevention of chronic diseases.
-
Accessing the Healing power of the Vagus Nerve – By Stanley Rosenberg
There is more and more research uncovered these days about the vagus nerve. The vagus nerve is the longest and most complex cranial nerve in the body. This book proposes ways to heal and restore vagal function from shifting from a shutdown state to a safety and social engagement state.
-
Sleep Wrecked Kids - By Sharon Moore
Great for parents but also practitioners who work with kids who need more an insight on sleep for children. I was introduced to this book when I was working interstate and learnt so much from behaviour, snoring and even learning problems.
-
Hormone Repair and Period Repair Manual - By Lara Briden
I have gained so much clinical knowledge from these 2 books and how important women’s health is. It has given me a deeper understanding towards hormonal health and how to navigate around nutritional supplement, diet and relieving symptoms. I would highly recommend these 2 books for all women as I strongly believe it is so important to get to know our hormones really well as each of us are different.

Nutritionelly
I came across Nutritionelly when I was complaining one morning to a friend that I need new recipe ideas for my smoothies. I was doing the good old peanut butter smoothie (still my favourite) but I needed different varieties of healthy fats and omegas. Elly has loads of articles from training and eating according to your cycle to understanding our gut and skin connection.
-

I was in my final year of Chiropractic when I came past Jay’s podcast. Till today I listen to it, its one of those podcasts that is easy to understand and implement in your life- whether it may be relationships, finances, jobs, health or wellness.
